• Refer a full member at the Assistant Professor Level or higher (1 yr, 3 yr, or lifetime levels) and ask them to enter your name as the referring member when they sign up!  You will receive a discount code good for 10% off a Lifetime Membership (a $60+ value!). Not valid on trainee referrals or past lifetime membership orders.
  
• Lifetime Membership: A one time fee provides lifetime access to all membership benefits. Contact us if you would like to switch your membership type to "Lifetime" or switch during your regular renewal.
• 3 for 2 Trainees: Take advantage of the 3 for 2 deal!  3 Students  or 3 Postdocs from the same lab can join for the price of 2.  Trainee memberships are good for 3 YEARS.

SLB is dedicated to fostering a diverse, welcoming, and accessible community for the dissemination of our science.  If membership dues present an obstacle to joining, contact us to discuss a waiver.

Full Membership applicants should have a doctorate degree and attach evidence of scientific achievement, including a list of published papers. Postdoc/Student applications are welcome from anyone whose qualifications/interests are demonstrated by experience. Full benefits include annual meeting registration discount, online JLB subscription, discounted JLB publication fees, complimentary abstract submission, award eligibility, iSLB subscription, complimentary registration for webinars, and complimentary career/news postings.

SLB invests between $1,690 to $4,500+ in each of our members.  Membership represents an incredible value proposition.

All membership dues are non-refundable. Dues are paid on a calendar basis and are good for the calendar year through December 31st each year. Dues are not prorated.  As a special consideration, members who join after the annual meeting or after November 1st, which ever is later, are granted membership through the following calendar year.
