SLB 2023 Hotel Information & Getting There

The 2023 program is an in-person event and will be held at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel in Athens, GA, U.S.A. The nearest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) in Atlanta, GA.

The deadline to book a room was August 29th.  The block is now closed.  If you need a room, you can try to contact the hotel at 800-884-1381 to book a room pending availability and rates. If you book at the hotel after August 29th, please note you will pick-up your welcome packet at the information desk in Hill Atrium.

The room rate includes complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property and access to the UGA conference center complimentary shuttle van service available to transport hotel guests locally, based on availability, use of bicycles and on-site fitness room. Additionally, Georgia Center hotel guests have special access to the Ramsey Student Activities Center which includes a pool, indoor track, weight room, basketball, and racquetball courts. Sleeping rooms also include a mini refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.

GETTING THERE:

Ground transportation options from ATL include a shuttle with Groome Transportation.  SLB has secured a group discount for SLB 2023 attendees with this service. PARKING INFORMATION:

The University of Georgia’s South Campus Parking deck is conveniently located next to the Georgia Center; there is a second university owned parking deck available two blocks away. The University charges a nominal fee for hourly and daily parking in the decks ($10 daily as of January 2023). See the 2023 policies and note that if an in-person event is not feasible, the program will take place virtually over the same dates. If the in-person event is cancelled, or if individual attendees cancel, hotel accommodation cancellations are the responsibility of individual attendees.
