Guoping Deng, Assistant Professor, Department of Immunology, Peking University

As a Principal Investigator, Guoping Deng's research focuses on investigating the mechanism underlying Treg cell-mediated immune tolerance, and aims to develop novel immune therapeutic strategies for autoimmune disease and cancer by using genetic and immunological approaches. His recent studies have uncovered the roles of Foxp3 post-translational modifications and its partner interactions in regulating Treg cell function (Deng et al, Exp Mol Pathol 2012; Xiao et al, Cell Rep 2014; Li et al, J Biol Chem 2014; Deng et al, J Biol Chem 2015; Deng et al, Clin Exp Immunol. 2019; Deng et al, Front. Immunol. 2019; Ma et al, Chapter of Springer Nature Book. 2021); He has demonstrated the importance of Ndfip1 protein and ubiquitylation system in regulating Treg cell function and lineage stability (O'Leary et al, Nat Commun. 2016; Layman, Deng, O'Leary et al, Nat Commun. 2016); He has also studied the origin and feature of tumor-infiltrating Treg cells (Deng, Am J Clin Exp Immunol, 2018).
