SLB 2020 Goes Virtual

SLB 2020 Goes Virtual

With the deepest of regrets, the Council of the Society for Leukocyte Biology has decided to cancel the in-person SLB 2020 conference. The decision was difficult but became the clear choice when considering everyone’s safety, health, and comfort along with a recognition of the ongoing challenges we all face professionally and personally with COVID-19.

While this is a disappointment, it is also an opportunity. SLB will be transforming the 2020 program into a series of virtual events with over 20 hours of scientific content and professional development programming. It is our hope that providing a platform to continue the communication of science and offer career guidance will build bridges beyond what was possible in the normal conference model. SLB 2020 will become every scientist’s opportunity to hear about cutting edge research. This virtual SLB 2020 program is being offered complimentary to the entire, global, scientific community*.

SLB members will benefit from unlimited access to the archived session recordings along with their other member benefits (JLB subscription, publication discounts, iSLB, community access and more). In addition, in supporting our members, SLB is extending all paid memberships currently set to expire at the end of 2020 through 2021. No action is required, and your membership record has already been updated.  Any new members joining in 2020 will also be provided membership through 2021 at the same low one-year rate. Tell a friend!

Please check the SLB 2020 Virtual meeting page for the evolving virtual program and to register for FREE*. Be sure to forward this SLB 2020 opportunity to your colleagues. All are welcome at SLB 2020!

Thank you for your dedication to science. Contact us with questions and stay well.

Let SLB Bring the Science to YOU in 2020

SLB Members are required to log-in and register while non-members are required to create a profile including their name, email, institution, and career level.  By creating a profile, non-members give SLB permission to contact them in the future for society and journal related promotions. Registration is free however attendees are required to provide their own equipment and internet to connect to the sessions via a Zoom link provided by SLB. No assistance is provided or available in setting up attendee's viewing platform nor in ensuring internet connectivity.  When permissible, sessions will be recorded and posted online for SLB Member only access. There are maximum allowances for number of attendees per session and registration does not guarantee a space on the live Zoom event should participation exceed these limits.
