Qing Deng

Qing Deng received her Ph.D. degree in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Medical College of Wisconsin under the guidance of Dr. Joseph T. Barbieri in 2009. She later trained with Dr. Anna Huttenlocher in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology in University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she developed research interests in neutrophils. In 2014, she became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Science, Purdue University. She teaches upper undergrad level courses, mentors internal and external undergraduate students and conducts research on neutrophil biology using zebrafish, mice and human cell models.
