The major focus of this project would be to mechanistically elucidate the role of Nox2 in lupus and chronic granulomatous disease taking advantage of various conditional knockout mice. In addition to being an excellent research environment, NCH offers multiple career development opportunities. The Bagaitkar lab trainees are encouraged to pursue these opportunities, write grants, and develop their own projects toward independent careers.
