POSTDOCTORAL POSITION

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in a well-funded laboratory at the Department of Medicine, University of Massachusetts Medical School, to study the role of innate immune cell activation, signaling mechanisms and metabolic processes in liver disease. The primary focus of our research is to employ molecular and cellular in vitro and in vivo, pre-clinical translational approaches to understand mechanisms related to immune responses during liver inflammation, metabolism and fibrosis. Our recent work investigates the role of the gut physiology and microbiome in development and progression of liver disease. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent training in cellular and molecular biology, and immunology. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. with a strong publication record. Good communication skills and desire to work in an interactive, multidisciplinary research team are essential. Stipends are commensurate with education and experience.
