Postdoctoral Scientist – Cedars-Sinai Medical Center

Dr. Helen Goodridge is looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join her research group (https://www.cedars-sinai.edu/research/labs/goodridge.html) in the Cedars-Sinai Regenerative Medicine Institute. The Goodridge Lab studies the production of myeloid cells (neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages and DCs) and their roles in infectious and inflammatory diseases, cancer, aging and tissue regeneration, working closely with other Cedars-Sinai researchers (including the Svendsen, Chen and Hazelett groups), as well as external collaborators. In recent studies, the Goodridge Lab has defined novel pathways and mechanisms of monocyte differentiation (PMID: 25597637, 29166589), demonstrated the impact of hematopoietic aging/rejuvenation on cognitive function (PMID: 30820468), and defined immune dysregulation in severely ill COVID-19 patients (PMID: 33357411).

The applicant should have an interest and expertise in immunology and/or hematology, with strong experience of flow cytometry, tissue culture, molecular biology (e.g. scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, ChIP, DNA barcoding), rodent studies (e.g. adoptive transfer, bone marrow transplantation) and/or evaluation of human samples. Bioinformatics experience would be a significant advantage.
